Adam Zembruski, President, is responsible for overseeing all aspects of Pharos Hospitality, including corporate and property operations, development, asset management, acquisitions and renovations, capital formation and community engagement. He is on the Board of Directors for Goodwill Industries of the Southern Piedmont and highly active in numerous other community and industry groups. He is well known for the regular articles he writes as a Guest Columnist for Hotel News Now (www.hotelnewsnow.com).
Adam is Certified in Hotel Real Estate Investments and Asset Management by Cornell University's School of Hotel Administration. He has 20 years experience in the hotel, resort and food service industries, including senior roles with several hospitality management companies and has hands on knowledge of operating hotels with brands such as Marriott, Hilton, Starwood, IHG and Choice. Prior to his current role at Pharos, he was a corporate operations executive for the management company of one of the largest publicly traded hospitality REITs in the US, where he held full P&L responsibility for 23 hotels in 7 states with 2500 rooms and $250M in asset value. In this position Adam was also responsible for the performance, motivation and development of 700 hotel employees along with the safety and ultimate satisfaction of the approximately 2000 guests staying in the hotels on a daily basis.
Adam has held every position in hotels and food service, starting his career as a front desk agent and concierge at one of the largest casino resorts in the world, Foxwoods Resort Casino in his home state of Connecticut. He has operated and opened hotels in large urban centers, resort, suburban, airport, secondary and small/tertiary markets, from 24 rooms to 1000+ rooms and from the mid-scale to luxury segment. He has a deep understanding of the trends in hospitality management including franchising, talent management, human resources, revenue management, marketing and multi-unit operations.
Adam is a committee member of the American Hotel and Lodging Association's Council of Inns and Suites and the American Hotel and Lodging Educational Institute.
